Sledding with our dogs

Alaskan
Malamutes were originally bred to be powerful work-horses (such as Belgian or
Clydesdales) of the sled dog world with
endurance
and strength in mind rather than speed (unlike the Siberian Husky or Alaskan
Husky). However, with proper training and hard work, they can compete in sprint
races. We have been racing since 1991, and have a successful program. We begin
training in September each year, and our racing season starts in January with
the last competition in March. Come visit us in Michigan sledding with MUSH
(Mid-Union Sled Haulers)!
